    1 Mil Polyimide Kapton
1 Mil Backing - 2.5 Mil Total Thickness - Silicone Thermosetting Adhesive (ETS-#95)

    Description

Flame resistant electrical insulation, wire and cable wrap, high temperature splicing and residue free solder mask for wave soldering circuit boards. The ultimate electrical insulating tape – ideally suited for continuous high temperature operating conditions. Continuous service temperature range of -100°F to 500°F(-73°C to 260°C) with short term intermittent service to 600°F(315°C). Offers excellent puncture resistance, clean removal, chemical and abrasion resistance.

    Features
    • AMBER (transparent)
    • The ultimate electrical insulating tape - ideally suited to continuous high temperature operating conditions.
    • Provides residue free protection of gold contacts from molten solder during hot wave solder leveling process.
    • Widely used in small bobbin wound coils as cross-over insulating and outer protective wrap.
    • Also used as ground, barrier and phase insulation in small high performance specialty coils and motors and for end turn bundling and insulation in small motors.
    • Used for splicing other high temperature insulating materials.
    • Insulation Class: 180oC (356oF).
    • Excellent puncture resistance.
    • Excellent resistance to abrasion, acids, oils, solvents, ageing, staining, water immersion.
    • Clean removal.
    • Continuous service temperature range of -100oF to 500oF (-73oC to 260oC) with short term intermittent service to 600oF (315oC).
    • Adhesion: 26 oz/inch. Tensile Strength: 30 lb/inch.
    • Dielectric Strength: 7500 volts.
    • Comparable: 3M 92, 5413, Tesa 4428

    Application

To achieve ultimate adhesion, the bonding surface should be dry, clean and free of dirt and oils. The strength of the adhesive bond is dependent on the amount of surface area directly contacting the adhesive. Firm pressure is recommended to obtain good adhesive to surface contact.
